“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” – Oscar Wilde
I love that quote. It’s such an important reminder to be ourselves. Sounds silly in some ways. I mean, who else should we be but ourselves? Yet, at some point or another, chances are we’ve all behaved in a way that was not authentic to our True Self.
There isn’t anyone else on earth quite like you. Isn’t that extraordinary! You bring something special to the world that no one else can in quite the way that you do. How wonderful! Your beauty, unique perspective, joy, insight, humor, silliness, etc…. It is all a gift. You are a gift.
So today, love yourself exactly the way you are. You’re awesome! And share the joy. Remind others that they are awesome too!

Here’s a sweet one minute video from the folks at Little Pearls, tiny films that open hearts and minds.
I love the last line: “When your heart is broken, let it break open…. to even more love.”
A friend shared this inspirational message with me recently and I thought it was a nice reminder of gratitude, something that seems appropriate to reflect upon during this season of rebirth and renewal. Of course, every day is a good day to be grateful. And, by the way, it’s a blast dancing in the rain!
“Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass…
it’s about learning how to dance in the rain!”
I thought…that’s it! We all face adversity in our life. However, it’s not the adversity, but how we react to it that will determine the joy and happiness in our life. During tough times, do we spend too much time feeling sorry for ourselves or can we, with gratitude…learn how to dance in the rain?
It almost sounds too simple to feel important, but one word…gratitude, can change your attitude and thus your life, forever. Sarah Breathnach said it best…
“When we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that’s present….we experience heaven on earth.”
I love Spring! I feel rejuvinated, exuberant and inspired to let fresh ideas hatch. Although I generally have lots of ideas and dreams underway at any given time, regardless of the season, Spring is a time I tend to focus more on my dreams. I start by asking a question: What do I really want in my life? My answer begins with acknowledging all of the things that I am grateful for in my life already. From here, I focus on what else I want to create in my life. Then I write it down. Next, I send those dreams and goals loving energy while giving them plenty of room to unfold, bloom and manifest in whatever way is the highest and best. Over the years, I’ve found that Spirit’s plan is always far better than my plan; although, admittedly, there have been times when I have argued that point or felt impatient that things were not moving along fast enough for my liking. Yup, I’m still working on patience.
What I have found works best for me is focusing my attention on a dream, being willing to do whatever it takes, allowing the path to unfold and being open to surprises that I may not have anticipated. In a nutshell, I state my prayer, do the footwork, get out of Spirit’s way, and trust that whatever comes is in my highest and best interest. When I do that, it’s easy. It’s only difficult when I resist. So now that Spring is upon us, I’m ready to get busy dreaming!
What are you dreaming for yourself?
If you can dream it, you can do it –Walt Disney
There is no such thing as a small act of kindness.
Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.
